After several weeks of battle with a liver illness, Satchmo has left this
physical world. A tile has been dedicated to his life, at a Buddhist temple on
Koh Samui island (Thailand). Support your local animal shelter and humane
society!
Satchmo,
Satchmo Boy, Satchou, boubou, doudou, sweetie-boy…
A totally cool black cat, which is why he received the name “Satchmo”.
A most kind, contended, gentle, generously loving soul.
Sublime companion, very tuned to his humans’ needs and emotions.
Elegant and wise.
Always vigilant and courageous.
Always happy to see us, and greet us at the door.
A nibble on your finger to let you know he’d like to be fed.
A tug on your hand with his paws, to let you know he needed caressing.
Lots of nudges with his head, to show his endless affection, and mark you as
family.
Your dainty gait, the small nick in your nose, the scent of cinnamon in your
coat, your little voices.
Loved melons, whipped cream, smoked mackerel, puff pastry crust, the tomato
sauce on your plate….
Loved to watch the birdies.
Hated vacuum cleaners, the crackling of open fire, thunder, fireworks, and other
sudden noises.
Shadow-boxer par excellence.
Keeper of his brother Snuffy, and of everyone else around him.
Never complained.
Un vrai amour de chat et une vraie âme câline.
Thank you for having chosen to share so much of your life time with us!
Your loving presence will always be with us and in our hearts.
Au revoir, my old
friend, thank you for everything!
May the blessings be, wherever you have moved on to!
Satchmo l-o-v-e-s melons!

I'm keeping an
eye on you!

What's that birdie doing in my backyard?

Satchmo's final days
and hours.
