INGREDIENTS

  • For the salad
  • 2.5 cups of fresh broccoli florets (about 25 florets; 1 small head)
  • 2.5 cups of fresh cauliflower florets (about 25 florets; 1 small head)
  • 150 grams (1 cup) raisins
  • 50 grams (1/4 cup) diced cleaned red onion
  • 10 bacon strips, fried, crumbled
  • 125 grams (1 cup) unsalted sunflower seeds

Broccoli and cauliflower florets


  • For the dressing
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) light mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar
  • regular (brown) balsamic vinegar makes the mayo look brown

  • Small bowl
  • Frying pan

PREPARATION / DIRECTIONS

  • In a large bowl, put the broccoli, cauliflower, raisins, onion, and sunflower seeds together and mix
  • In a small bowl, mix the dressing ingredients
  • Fry the bacon strips, let cool, and crumble
  • Just before serving, add the bacon and dressing to the salad and mix
