- Makes 6 side-dish servings.
INGREDIENTS
- For the salad
- 2.5 cups of fresh broccoli florets (about 25 florets; 1 small head)
- 2.5 cups of fresh cauliflower florets (about 25 florets; 1 small head)
- 150 grams (1 cup) raisins
- 50 grams (1/4 cup) diced cleaned red onion
- 10 bacon strips, fried, crumbled
- 125 grams (1 cup) unsalted sunflower seeds

Broccoli and cauliflower florets
- For the dressing
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) light mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar
- regular (brown) balsamic vinegar makes the mayo look brown
EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES
- Large bowl
- Small bowl
- Frying pan
PREPARATION / DIRECTIONS
- In a large bowl, put the broccoli, cauliflower, raisins, onion, and sunflower seeds together and mix
- In a small bowl, mix the dressing ingredients
- Fry the bacon strips, let cool, and crumble
- Just before serving, add the bacon and dressing to the salad and mix
