INGREDIENTS
- Ingredients for the dressing
- 60 ml (1/4 cup ; 4 tablespoons) apple cider vinegar
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) fine crystal sugar (F: sucre en poudre)
- 2 tablespoons toasted white sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 1.5 teaspoons finely minced onion or onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4teaspoon paprika powder
- Ingredients for the salad
- 120 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
- 200 grams (1/2 lb) fresh spinach
- 200 grams (1/2 lb) strawberries, washed, sliced
- Thinly sliced almonds, toasted
EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES
- Blender
- Large bowl
PREPARATION / DIRECTIONS
- Make the dressing:
- Put all the dressing ingredients into the blender
- Briefly run the blender until all ingredients are mixed
- Do not run the blender too long: the dressing will become too thick!
- Arrange the spinach, strawberries, and almonds in a large serving bowl, drizzle with dressing, and toss
- Only use enough dressing to lightly coat the spinach and strawberries
NOTES
- Left-over dressing keeps in refrigerator for 2 weeks
