INGREDIENTS

  • Ingredients for the dressing
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup ; 4 tablespoons) apple cider vinegar
  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) fine crystal sugar (F: sucre en poudre)
  • 2 tablespoons toasted white sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1.5 teaspoons finely minced onion or onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4teaspoon paprika powder

  • Ingredients for the salad
  • 120 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
  • 200 grams (1/2 lb) fresh spinach
  • 200 grams (1/2 lb) strawberries, washed, sliced
  • Thinly sliced almonds, toasted

EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES

  • Blender
  • Large bowl

PREPARATION / DIRECTIONS

  • Make the dressing:
  • Put all the dressing ingredients into the blender
  • Briefly run the blender until all ingredients are mixed
  • Do not run the blender too long: the dressing will become too thick!
  • Arrange the spinach, strawberries, and almonds in a large serving bowl, drizzle with dressing, and toss
  • Only use enough dressing to lightly coat the spinach and strawberries

NOTES

  • Left-over dressing keeps in refrigerator for 2 weeks
